I walked on my own over 1600 miles, across three countries and two mountain ranges. I hoped to raise awareness of and money for two charities that help homeless people.
North Herts Sanctuary ( Charity No 1071610) runs an all-year-round shelter in Hitchin, Herts for the homeless.
Depaul Trust (Charity No 802384) is a national charity with links all over the world. It supports homeless and disadvantaged people, helping them to fulfil their potential.
Although my journey is now over, I still hear from people who have come across my website and are interested in walking to Rome, or have been entertained by my diary. So I have made some improvements here and there (at least I hope they are improvements!). Most significantly I have looked through the 5000+ photographs I took and have selected a few to give an idea of what it was like to walk over that distance and for that time.
Enjoy!
And remember you can still donate - click on the shell motif and
help my journey make a difference.
